At FDY Performance, we are committed to supplying quality used motorcycles that have been carefully inspected before being offered for sale. Every used motorcycle is unique, and unlike a new vehicle, will show signs of previous ownership, age and use.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK law.

Our Inspection Process

Every used motorcycle is inspected before being advertised for sale.

Where reasonably possible, motorcycles are checked to ensure they are operating correctly at the time of inspection and before handover.

If we are aware of any significant faults, defects or cosmetic issues, these will be disclosed to the customer before the sale is completed.

Customer Inspection

We strongly encourage every customer to inspect the motorcycle before purchasing.

Customers are given the opportunity, where reasonably possible, to:

• View the motorcycle.
• Inspect its overall condition.
• Ask questions about its history and condition.
• See the motorcycle running before purchase.
• Review any photographs or videos supplied for distance sales.

It is the customer’s responsibility to satisfy themselves that the motorcycle meets their requirements before completing the purchase.

Acceptance of the Motorcycle

By collecting or accepting delivery of a used motorcycle, the customer confirms that:

• They have inspected the motorcycle themselves, or accepted its condition based on the photographs, videos and information supplied before purchase.
• They are satisfied with the motorcycle’s condition at the time of handover.
• Any known faults or defects disclosed by FDY Performance have been accepted.
• They understand they are purchasing a previously owned motorcycle and not a new vehicle.

• If the motorcycle is demonstrated to be in working order at the time of sale and the customer accepts its condition, FDY Performance will not be responsible for faults, damage or failures that arise after handover where those issues were not present at the time of sale.

Ownership & Responsibility

Once the motorcycle has been collected or delivered, ownership and responsibility for the motorcycle passes to the customer.

From that point onwards, the customer is responsible for:

• Routine maintenance.
• Servicing.
• Storage.
• Transportation.
• Correct operation.
• Daily safety checks.
• Repairs resulting from wear, accidental damage, misuse, lack of maintenance or events occurring after handover.

Used motorcycles contain previously used mechanical and electrical components. Future wear, servicing requirements and unexpected component failures may occur during ownership and do not automatically indicate that the motorcycle was faulty at the time of sale.

Warranty

Unless expressly stated in writing before purchase, FDY Performance does not provide a commercial warranty on used motorcycles.

Any manufacturer’s warranty that remains may be transferable where applicable.

Modifications & Competition Use

FDY Performance is not responsible for damage or failures resulting from:

• Modifications after purchase.
• Incorrect servicing or repairs.
• Racing or competition use.
• Stunt riding.
• Accidental damage.
• Incorrect fuel, lubricants or charging equipment.
• Failure to carry out routine maintenance.
